Recipe Tips

  • Keep the filo pastry moist: Lay the filo on a damp tea towel to prevent it from drying out while you work.
  • Crumble the feta evenly: Spread the feta evenly across the filo for a balanced flavor in every bite.
  • Seal the edges well: Press the edges of the filo firmly to ensure the turnovers don’t open while cooking.
  • Use medium heat: Cook the turnovers on medium heat for a crispy and golden finish without burning.
  • Serve immediately: These turnovers are best enjoyed fresh and hot, as they lose crispness if left out for too long.

How To Store & Reheat Leftovers

Store: Allow the Feta Filo Turnovers to cool completely before storing. Place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.

Reheat: To reheat, place the turnovers in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 5-7 minutes, or until warmed through and crispy again.

Avoid using the microwave, as it will make the filo soft and lose its crispiness.
